The most common questions about using Gator.
What happens when my Gator trial ends?
Every Slack workspace that installs Gator starts with a three month free trial. You and your coworkers can send unlimited Gator messages during this trial to help you evaluate Gator. When your trial is complete, you can upgrade to a paid Gator subscription by saying "/gator upgrade" in Slack...
How can Gator deliver my message early, as soon as my recipient comes online in Slack?
When you send a Gator message to a Slack direct message or group direct message, you can optionally turn on early delivery for your message, instructing Gator to deliver it as soon as one of your recipients next comes online in Slack.
How can I send Gator messages which include attachments or links?
Most of time Gator will perfectly preserve the formatting of your messages. But when including attachments or links in your message, you may need to format your message differently to work around Slack's limitations.
How can I use Gator to reply to a message in a Slack thread?
Slack doesn't allow you to use slash commands in threads, but you can use Gator in a Slack thread by using our "Schedule a message" Slack shortcut
Why did Later rename to Gator?
Unfortunately shortly after our launch we received a trademark cease and desist letter from another company which has done business as "Later" for some time.
